3 Reasons Why You Should Consider Switching To Natural Fibers

What’s more important for you when you are out choosing your clothes, comfort, appearance, or price? For me, it has always been comfort. Of course, I try to stay in line with the trends but never at the cost of my comfort. This is the prime reason why I choose cotton and linen over polyester or nylon. This is just one of the reasons, actually a comprehensible reason for why I prefer natural fibers but there’s much more to it. And today, I will let you brood over the same reasons and decide for yourself!

  • The Breathability Is Addictive

Have you ever differentiated your experiences while wearing a polyester clothing and a linen one? It’s huge! Whenever I used to head out for shopping, I used to try to train my mind on going for specific pieces but instead, I always picked the ones which were made of natural fabrics. Cotton shirts are my favorite! I gave it a thought as to why I am reaching to naturals specifically and came to the conclusion that it lets my skin breathe.

Sure, rayon feels smooth on the skin but it feels itchy as soon as the temperature rises or you layer up. But yes, I do try different apparels in breathable fabrics. Just last month I tried cannabis clothing, a t-shirt and believe me, it was fabulous. I don’t think I can ever go back to polyesters, can’t even think in fact!

  • Toxicity Is Much Lesser Than The Synthetic Fibers

I read an article on synthetic fabrics and how they are processed with chemicals that just add toxicity to the final product. For instance, polyesters are made of polymers, to be precise, from esters of dihydric alcohol and terephthalic acid. Another material is the acrylic fabric which is made of polyacrylonitrile that is believed to cause cancer. In short, every synthetic material goes through the severe chemical process which can be pretty harmful to our skin.

Natural fibers, on the other hand, go through minimal chemical processes are much lesser on toxicity levels. And the best of the natural fabrics is hemp clothing as the other natural crops require insecticides and pesticides while hemp doesn’t even need those. A perfectly eco-friendly fabric it is! If you don’t believe me, try wearing synthetic socks and weed ankle socks to compare.

  • Natural Is Sustainable

If the natural fabrics are grown organically, they are much more sustainable than the conventionally grown crops. For instance, cotton grown organically requires less amount of pesticides in comparison to conventional cotton. However, even here, hemp beats all as it needs no chemicals in its cultivation process. Moreover, it requires just ⅓ of the amount of water that’s needed for cotton, and more fibers are produced in 1 acre land than cotton. So while I try to go for natural, I also make sure I evaluate sustainability as well. But the sad part is there aren’t many options for hemp women 420 apparels!

But yes, cannabis dad hat, socks, tees, etc. are available at many stores. So let’s go green, what are you waiting for!
